As one of the main objectives of PCC is to care and benefit the lives of immigrants with many different situations (asylum seekers / fostering / long term refugees) we often get whispers and hurtful comments from people who don’t understand many of the personal stories we deal with. The words ‘immigrant’ and ‘asylum seekers’ can be seen as dirty words and often people want to generalise and cage their prejudices to the one box of spongers, economic migrants, & not our problem. The british space can become a tricky subject and people often forget that we are talking about people’s lives.
It was great for ‘Banksy’ to highlight this prejudice in such a witty manor and thought it was right that we share this article and a great highlight by the masked artist.
